The South American Parliament is a proposed body of the Union of South American Nations The Union of South American Nations (Dutch: Unie van Zuid-Amerikaanse Naties - UZAN, Portuguese: União de Nações Sul-Americanas - UNASUL, Spanish: Unión de Naciones Suramericanas - UNASUR) is an intergovernmental union integrating two existing customs unions: Mercosur and the Andean Community of Nations, as part of a continuing process of (Unasur). The Constitutive Treaty The Constitutive Treaty of the Union of South American Nations was signed on May 23, 2008 during the Third Summit of Heads of State and Government held in Brasília, Brazil. It officially established the Union of South American Nations, a supranational continental union of twelve South American nations of Unasur does not list it with the other bodies, and does not give any details on its composition. Article 17 states that the Parliament would be located in Cochabamba Cochabamba is a city in central Bolivia, located in a valley bearing the same name in the Andes mountain range.
